Dr. Eric McCurry received his Bachelor Degree of Science from University of Georgia in 1990. He graduated from Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He built and opened Heartland Animal Hospital in 2000 with his wife, Dr. Debbie. Although he enjoys all aspects of veterinarian medicine, his special interests are in soft tissue and orthropedic surgery and dentistry. When not at work, he spends his time going to his kid's athletic events, working on the farm and being a rabid UGA fan.
Dr. Debbie McCurry DVM
Dr. Debbie McCurry graduated from Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama in 1996. Dr. Debbie enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in her geriatric patients. The ability to ease the affects of aging such as arthritis, kidney and liver disease, and even senility in our older four-legged friends is what drives her passion.
Dr. Debbie and Heartland Animal Hospital were one of the first in South Carolina to perform in clinic stem cell procedures. These revolutionary procedures have helped over 20 dogs and cats live more comfortably and with less pain throughout their continued "golden years."
Dr. Ashley McKamey DVM
Dr. Ashley was born and raised in Kingsport, TN.She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee in 2005, and graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary Medicine in 2008.She has been a veterinarian at Heartland since August 2008.Dr. Ashley has a special interest in internal medicine, but enjoys all aspects of being a small animal veterinarian.
Dr. Ashley lives in Boiling Springs and is married to her husband, Ben.She has two sons, Collin and Keller.She enjoys spending as much of her free time as possible with them.She has three pets, a terrier mix named Izzie, and two cats, Xavier and Leilah.
Dr. Katharine Welling DVM
Dr. Katharine is native to the Greenville area. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Davidson College in 1996, and graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She has been at Heartland since January of 2011. Dr. Katharine enjoys the diversity of cases she gets to see as a small animal veterinarian.
In her spare time, Dr. Katharine enjoys running, swimming, and biking. She has three wonderful, spoiled boxers named Hooch, Paris and Merckx.
